Le procès de l’artiste guinéen Mohamed Seydou Bangoura, alias Singleton, poursuivi pour homicide involontaire à la suite d’un accident de la circulation, s’est poursuivi ce mardi devant le tribunal correctionnel de Coyah.
Appelé à témoigner, Mohamed Traoré, petit frère de la victime, a expliqué que la famille avait décidé de porter plainte en raison du comportement jugé inapproprié de l’artiste après le drame. Selon lui, Singleton serait resté 20 minutes dans son véhicule sans apporter d’assistance, avant de quitter les lieux pour faire réparer sa voiture puis rentrer à Conakry, sans considération pour le corps de la victime.
Il a également affirmé qu’au téléphone, contacté par la police routière, Singleton aurait nié sa responsabilité, évoquant un autre conducteur comme auteur présumé.
Le témoin a toutefois reconnu que la famille de l’artiste avait envoyé une délégation aux obsèques, accompagnée d’une contribution de 2 millions GNF, somme que la famille Traoré a préféré refuser.
Au terme de sa déposition, Mohamed Traoré a finalement accepté le pardon de Singleton, au nom de sa famille, sans condition particulière.
